Tom Bagley Groundworks Ltd is an experienced construction company covering mainly the Northwest regions and the surrounding Counties.
We are a family run business, with our head office in Knutsford Cheshire and have years of experience in the construction industry.
All of our workforce are fully qualified, competent, polite tradesmen and work to the highest standards set down by the company.

Our experienced and qualified Engineers are able to design practical and economical schemes for a variety of foundations works, offering remedial and new foundation solutions for both the Commercial and Domestic market. Our operatives are skilled in the construction of mass and reinforced concrete foundations and mini piling works.
Our stabilisation techniques range from traditional mass concrete underpinning to more technical piled underpinning and foundation schemes. We utilise a wide range of plant and equipment, from mini piling rigs, specifically designed to gain access into inaccessible sites, to larger piling rigs for use in general open sites, enabling us to construct suitable foundation solutions in the majority of ground conditions.
Polysteel
Polysteel is an innovative new product recently arrived in the UK from North America and has the benefits of speedy construction similar to timber frame with the added solidity of traditional build (brick and block).
Insulating Concrete Formwork (ICF) such as PolySteel has been used extensively in the United States of America and Canada for the past 30 years. The ICF consists of twin-walled expanded polystyrene (EPS) panels or blocks that are quickly built up to create formwork for the walls of a building. This formwork is then filled with factory produced, quality assured, ready-mixed concrete to create a robust structure. The forms are thermally efficient with the EPS remaining in place to provide both complete thermal insulation and a uniform surface ready for the direct application of external finishes or proprietary cladding systems.
The installation of PolySteel is fast. An experienced team of four can comfortably erect and concrete the walls of a three-bedroom bungalow within three days. This very fast construction of the building, allows follow-on trades to gain access so they can quickly progress independently of the external cladding.
Some interesting facts besides speedy construction; PolySteel's superior thermal performance provides buildings that exceed Part L Building Regulations requirements for energy efficiency. Furthermore, the high thermal mass of the concrete provides considerable fabric energy storage that absorbs and stores heat resulting in reduced internal temperature fluctuations. This in turn means less energy needed for heating or cooling and a far more comfortable living environment.
